- To open ECC Messages in Radius, click on the ECC Message icon in the left Navigation Bar.
- Click + New Message to open the “New ECC Message” modal.
Complete the required fields on the “New ECC Message” modal:
- ECC(s) – Select the ECC(s) from this drop-down.
Note: If an ECC is offline, the (Offline) notification beside the ECC name indicates such. The ECC will receive the message when they come back online, but the ‘Offline” indicator is to advise the sender that no one at the receiving ECC is currently online. - Subject – Add a subject
- Message – Enter the message
- (Optional) Service – indicate the type of service from the drop-down.
- EMS (Emergency Medical Services): This category is specifically for incidents or situations that require medical attention or emergency medical services. It includes emergencies such as medical emergencies, injuries, accidents, medical transports, and requests for medical assistance.
- Fire: The fire category is for incidents related to fire emergencies, including structure fires, wildfires, vehicle fires, hazardous material incidents, rescues, and other fire-related emergencies. It encompasses all aspects of firefighting and fire suppression activities.
- Law: The law category pertains to incidents that require law enforcement intervention or response. This includes criminal activities, disturbances, thefts, assaults, traffic violations, domestic disputes, missing persons, and other law enforcement-related incidents.
- Other: The other category is a general category for incidents or situations that do not fit into the EMS, Fire, or Law categories. It may include non-emergency requests, community service events, public assistance requests, administrative notifications, or any other miscellaneous incidents that require attention or coordination within the public safety system.
- ECC(s) – Select the ECC(s) from this drop-down.
Click “Send Message”
